Setting Required Fields for Purchase Requests

In any procurement process, ensuring that all necessary information is collected accurately is crucial for efficient operations. You can easily configure required fields for purchase requests, both at the request form level and the request item level. In this article, we'll walk you through the steps to set up these required fields efficiently.


Setting Up Required Fields for Request Form

Accessing Settings


    • Begin by clicking on the account icon located in the top right corner of your dashboard.
    • From the dropdown menu, select "Settings":




Accessing Custom Fields Settings


    • Within the settings page, you will find various configuration options. On the left-side menu, locate and click on "Custom Fields."




Selecting Request Custom Fields


    • Among the list of custom fields categories, identify "Request Custom Fields."
    • Click on the "Edit" option next to it:



Configuring Individual Fields


    • You will now see a list of custom fields that can be configured. Find the specific field for which you want to enforce mandatory completion.
    • To configure the field, click on the dropdown arrow next to it. This will open additional settings for that field:



Setting the Field as Required


    • Within the additional settings, you'll find a "Required" toggle. Switch it on to indicate that this field must be filled out for every purchase request:



Saving Your Updates


  • After toggling the "Required" option, make sure to Save your updates. This will confirm your selection and enforce the requirement.
