Setting Required Fields for Purchase Orders

In the world of procurement, Purchase Orders (POs) play a pivotal role in the smooth operation of businesses. Ensuring that essential information is captured accurately on a PO is paramount. With Team Procure Cloud, you can easily configure required fields for purchase orders, ensuring that all necessary details are included. In this article, we'll guide you through the steps to set up these required fields effectively.


Setting Up Required Fields for Purchase Orders


Accessing Settings

    • Start by clicking on the account icon located in the top right corner of your dashboard. 
    • From the dropdown menu, select "Settings":


Accessing Custom Fields Settings


    • Within the settings page, you will find various configuration options. On the left-side menu, locate and click on "Custom Fields":


Selecting Purchase Order Custom Fields


    • Among the list of custom fields categories, identify "PO Custom Fields."
    • Click on the "Edit" option next to it:



Configuring Individual Fields


    • You will now see a list of custom fields that can be configured for purchase orders. Find the specific field for which you want to enforce mandatory completion.
    • To configure the field, click on the dropdown arrow next to it. This will open additional settings for that field:



Setting the Field as Required


    • Within the additional settings, you'll find a "Required" toggle. Switch it on to indicate that this field must be filled out for every purchase order:



Saving Your Updates


  • After toggling the "Required" option, make sure to Save your updates. This will confirm your selection and enforce the requirement.
