Customizing Product Fields: Tailoring Information Management to Your Needs

To accurately capture and manage product information, customization of fields is essential. With the ability to customize fields, you can ensure that your product forms align with your specific business requirements. In this knowledge article, we will guide you through the process of customizing fields for products, empowering you to tailor your information management to your unique needs.

 

Step 1: Accessing the Settings

 

To begin customizing your product fields, click on the account icon located in the top right corner of your screen. From the dropdown menu, select "Settings." This will direct you to the settings page where various configuration options are available.

Step 2: Navigating to Custom Fields

 

On the settings page, locate the left-side menu and click on "Custom Fields." This will open the custom fields configuration page, which allows you to manage and modify different fields across the application.

Step 3: Selecting Product Custom Fields

 

On the custom fields configuration page, browse the available options and find the section labeled "Product Custom Fields." Click on the "Edit" button next to this section to proceed with customizing the product forms.

 

 

Step 4: Editing Product Forms

 

Upon clicking the "Edit" button, a new page will open, enabling you to change the product forms and tailor them to your specific requirements. This customization ensures that the information you capture is relevant and aligned with your business needs.

 

 

Step 5: Removing Unnecessary Fields

 

To remove fields that are not required or relevant to your product forms, locate the specific field you want to remove. Click on the dropdown arrow next to the field and then select the "Remove" button. Please note that fields marked with a green "Required" status cannot be deleted as they are essential for accurate information management.

Step 6: Adding New Fields

 

To add new fields to your product forms, simply drag and drop the required fields onto the form. This allows you to include additional information that is pertinent to your product management. You can also rearrange the order of fields by dragging and dropping them within the form, ensuring a logical sequence of information.
